SO WHAT'S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?
As a Dev Ops Engineer at DAZN you will be an important part of our cross functional software development teams, helping to deliver new features and launch new platforms . Being the champion for automation and monitoring you will play a key role in shortening deployment cycles and enabling our teams to release as fast as they want.
A successful candidate will have a proven ability in delivering large scale, customer facing applications , a desire to work in a fast paced, Agile software development environment and a passion for building a world class product.
DAZN are going to change the way people watch sports forever, by putting the consumer first, providing more sport, no ads, no long contract and a single low monthly fee. As part of the DAZN tech team, you will play a lead role in this by designing and building world leading streaming services across web, mobile and TV platforms , working on new feature releases and evolving the next phase of our application framework. WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE?

Work to continually improve software deployment to ensure iterative releases and rapid deployment of updates to our customers across all platforms

Contribute to comprehensive documentation that supports the development and support lifecycles

Supporting developers with their day-to-day work

Monitor system performance and resolve any issues or failures in staging or production environments

DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INTERVIEW?
Skill Level (out of 4)
Experience of building Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines

Artifact and repository management
4
Experience with configuration management tools

Knowledge of several test automation processes and frameworks

Knowledge of at least one cloud provider such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure

Experience of working in an Agile software development environment

Comfortable working with Open Source Software

DO YOU HAVE THESE DESIRABLES?
Experience as a software engineer in developing software for large, distributed systems
Experience in Shell Scripting and UNIX tools
Knowledge of multiple operating systems including virtualization , containers , etc.
Certification with Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform
Expertise in Node.js (memory profiling, debugging) - Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
