Nationwide Metal Recycling is a leading recycler with 6 busy yards across Essex and the East of England. We pride ourselves on delivering professional, reliable services to our customers while maintaining high standards of safety and sustainability.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable 3.5t Van Driver / Labourer to join our growing team. The role is split between driving company vans to collect and deliver scrap metal and supporting general labouring tasks in the yard.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving a 3.5t van to collect and deliver scrap metal from customers and suppliers across the region. Assisting with loading and unloading of materials, ensuring safe handling at all times. Supporting general yard duties including sorting, moving, and processing scrap metal. Keeping the van and yard areas clean, tidy, and safe. Following company health & safety procedures and wearing correct PPE. Providing excellent customer service when representing the company off-site.
Requirements:

Full UK driving licence (Category B) with experience driving a 3.5t vehicle. Previous experience in labouring, recycling, construction, or similar manual work preferred. Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy materials. Good timekeeping, reliability, and a strong work ethic. Flexible attitude and willingness to work across different sites if required.
