Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver / removals porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be over 25 and responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of customers furniture and effects. You will need to have a current digital tacho and drivers cpc card, you will be expected to work as part of a team. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as excellent driving skills.
Responsibilities
Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company policies. Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload goods safely, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients. Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents promptly.
Experience
Removal experience preferred but there will be on the job training. A valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
