The Role

We are now looking for a

proactive, detail-driven Company Accountant

to take ownership of SAY's internal finance function. This is a

standalone role

with responsibility for everything from day-to-day bookkeeping to management reporting, budgeting, and cashflow forecasting. You'll work closely with the senior leadership team, providing insight and analysis that directly influences decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Manage bookkeeping, ledgers, reconciliations, AP/AR, and payroll in

QuickBooks Online

Oversee VAT, PAYE, HMRC submissions, and liaise with external accountants at year-end Lead monthly reporting, including journals, project profitability, and accruals Prepare rolling cashflow forecasts, budgets, and reforecasts Provide insight on profitability, utilisation, and cost control to directors Improve processes and systems across finance and operations
Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

Strong finance (5 years +) experience in

SME environments

(qualification desirable but not essential) Consultancy or property experience desirable. Hands-on expertise with finance systems - ideally

QuickBooks, Hubspot, Toggl

Excellent Excel and data analysis skills A self-starter mindset, comfortable owning the full finance cycle Commercial awareness and the confidence to influence at all levels

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 40,000.00-50,000.00 per year
