We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our mental health team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric care across diverse patient populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. This role involves conducting diagnostic evaluations, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapies in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The Psychiatrist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Experience with telehealth services, behavioral health, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or PTSD is highly valued. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy (psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy) and psychopharmacology.
Provide mental health counseling and crisis intervention for patients experiencing acute or chronic psychiatric conditions.
Manage inpatient and outpatient cases, coordinating care across hospital and clinic settings.
Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote psychiatric services when appropriate.
Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive behavioral health services for patients with developmental disabilities, PTSD, addiction issues, or other mental health concerns.
Stay current on medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and evidence-based practices in psychiatry.
Participate in data collection efforts for quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects as needed.
Qualifications
Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
Post-residency experience in clinical psychiatry, including outpatient and inpatient settings.
Expertise in pediatric psychiatry, geriatrics, addiction counseling, crisis management, and working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Proficiency in psychopharmacology, psychotherapy modalities (psychodynamic therapy), and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
Experience with telehealth platforms and managing mental health cases remotely is desirable.
Strong knowledge of medical documentation standards, medical terminology, and electronic medical records systems.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care across diverse populations.
