Job Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Early Education Funding Team as an Assistant Early Education Funding Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the delivery of funded early education entitlements for children across Bradford, ensuring funding is allocated accurately and efficiently to providers.
As an Assistant Early Education Funding Officer, you will be the first point of contact for early years providers across Bradford, offering technical advice and guidance to enable efficient submission and payment of online funding claims. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring that early education entitlements are delivered effectively to children aged 9 month to 4 years.
Responsibilities:

  • Support the administration of early education funding entitlements
  • Import, process and analyse provider data to determine accurate funding payments.
  • Maintain and update records using relevant ICT systems.
  • Provide responsive and professional support to providers, parents, and internal teams.
  • Assist in preparing reports and data analysis for monitoring and planning.
We're seeking a highly motivated, responsible individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering excellent service. You'll need to be confident working with data and ICT systems, and able to communicate clearly and effectively.
You will have:
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • A logical and confident approach to working with numbers and data.
  • A creative and proactive attitude to problem-solving.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence using ICT systems, particularly Excel and databases.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively, often to tight deadlines.
Experience in education, finance, or public sector administration is desirable but not essential.
