Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Legal Cashier to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounts, and ensuring compliance with legal and financial regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your accounting skills within a dynamic legal environment, supporting the firm's financial operations efficiently and accurately.

Preferably 5 days per week - hours to be agreed.

Responsibilities

Manage and process all accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely manner. Maintain accurate financial records using Legal accounting software Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures. Monitor client accounts, ensuring payments are received and overdue accounts are followed up appropriately. Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and clients regarding financial matters. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to financial transactions.

Requirements

Experience as a Cashier or in a similar finance role within a legal or professional services environment would be preferred. Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial reconciliation procedures. Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail. Ability to work independently whilst maintaining effective communication with team members. Good understanding of legal accounting practices and compliance standards is desirable. Strong numerical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Previous experience working with legal firms or law practices is advantageous but not essential.
