We are seeking a Junior Legal Cashier to join our team.
The ideal candidate will play a role in managing the financial transactions of our legal practice, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of accounts payable processes.
Salary will be negotiated depending on experience.
Responsibilities
Process and record all financial transactions accurately, including client payments and disbursements.
Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
Prepare financial reports as required by management.
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information in accordance with legal standards.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient financial operations.
Experience
Proven experience as a Junior Legal Cashier or in a similar accounting role is preferred.
Proven experience in Xero is preferred.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
