Ensuring your surgery is prepared appropriately for the days patients in accordance with current regulations. Carrying out and record daily maintenance, servicing and pre-use checks of dental equipment reporting defects in accordance with current equipment care policies. Carrying out dental work under the direction of a registered dentist who has examined the patient and indicated in writing the course of treatment to be provided. This is in accordance with the Dental Auxiliary Regulations 1986, as amended by the Dental Auxiliaries (amended) Regulations 1991.
Ensuring that all periodontal patients and patients in other risk categories (example) caries are recalled appropriately for review or at the next Periodic Dental Inspection appointments.
