Baxterstorey is seeking a skilled and passionate Barista to join our team in Birmingham. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional coffee beverages and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages, filter coffee, and speciality drinks Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment Create latte art and present beverages in an visually appealing manner Take customer orders and process payments accurately Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards Educate customers about our coffee offerings, including bean origins and flavour profiles Assist in inventory management and stock rotation Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and support colleagues during peak hours

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Barista, preferably in a busy cafe or coffee shop Excellent knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and ability to operate espresso machines Strong latte art skills and attention to detail in beverage presentation Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems Food hygiene certificate (desirable) In-depth knowledge of coffee beans, roasts, and brewing methods Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Flexibility to work various shifts
