Job Description

The Flour Pot is a family-owned independent business with twelve stores across Brighton, Hove and Worthing, specialising in artisan bread, baked goods and speciality coffee. We are looking for someone to join our team down on the beach. A firm favourite amongst locals out for a run, stroll or dog walk and day visitors during holidays and weekends. The cafe is open from 7:30am - 3pm Monday to Friday and 8am - 3pm on a Sunday. With shifts either being either a 6:30am - 4pm or a 7am - 2pm.

Someone who is totally focussed on creating a brilliant experience for your customers. you're passionate about food, coffee + service, taking pride in talking about + serving our artisan delights to our customers, whether first timers or lifelong Flour Pot fans. you're confident to make recommendations + suggestively sell, all the while maintaining our high standards. working as part of a team comes naturally to you, just as much as enjoying good food, coffee and delivering exceptional service does.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages to customers, ensuring high-quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, adhering to food safety regulations. Manage inventory and assist in food preparation. Utilise basic math skills for cash handling and transactions. Demonstrate effective time management to ensure prompt service during peak hours. Engage with customers to provide excellent service and enhance their experience.
