Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the cafe, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe, including workstations, equipment, and seating areas. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions about the menu. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards during food preparation and service. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and making change. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A genuine passion for coffee and customer service. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 11.44-13.66 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 45 per week
