Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and customer service, providing an exceptional experience to our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the workspace, and ensuring food safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any queries they may have. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including the work area, equipment, and seating areas. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during food preparation and service. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, using basic maths skills for processing payments. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred but not essential. Basic maths skills to handle transactions and manage cash effectively. Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of food safety practices related to food preparation and handling. A genuine desire to help customers with their needs and provide excellent service. Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 50 per week
