Summary



'We are seeking a Body Shop Manager/Estimator to join our team. This vital role involves assessing vehicle damages, preparing accurate repair estimates, and coordinating with our skilled technicians to ensure quality service. Responsibilities



You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our bodyshop including estimating, ensuring all work streams are managed efficiently and profitably. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a deep understanding of modern repair processes as well as classic vehicle techniques

Operational Management:

Oversee all workshop activities, including scheduling, workflow management, and quality control across all vehicle types.

Team Leadership:

Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of skilled technicians, panel beaters, paint sprayers, and identifying training needs and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Customer & Stakeholder Relations:

Liaise effectively with private customers, insurance companies, and emergency service fleet managers, ensuring clear communication and high satisfaction levels for all parties.

Quality & Compliance:

Ensure all repair work, from sensitive restoration projects to insurance work, meets stringent quality, safety, and industry standards.

Evaluate vehicle damage and prepare detailed repair estimates.



Liaise with customers to explain repair processes and costs. Coordinate with technicians and management to ensure timely completion of repairs. Maintain accurate records of all estimates and repairs. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Assist in managing customer relationships and follow-up. Support the workshop team in achieving operational goals.'

Proven experience as an estimator or similar role in the automotive industry.



Strong knowledge of vehicle repair processes and parts. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work accurately under pressure. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience with automotive estimating software is preferred. Leadership qualities and team management experience are advantageous.'

What We're Looking For



Proven experience in a Bodyshop Manager or similar senior role within the automotive repair industry. Extensive technical knowledge of both modern vehicle accident repair processes and classic car restoration techniques. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with industry-specific software (estimating, inventory management, etc.). Highly organised, with a meticulous eye for detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
