Burton Roofing is a national roofing merchant built on local service. Our 37 branches support thousands of contractors with the stock, expertise, and reliability they need every day. We're investing in people, products, and the brand, modernising how branches engage customers: short-form videos, better in-store promotions, supplier partnerships, and precise, trackable results.

Location:



Field-based across 18 branches (North West and Midlands: 10 branches, South: 5 branches, South Wales: 3 branches). York Head Office / Doncaster Commercial Hub: approximately once per month.

The role



A practical, creative marketer who enhances branch awareness, supports trade days, moves stock, keeps branch website pages current, and assists with national campaigns and events when needed. Most weeks will be spent in branches, developing local strategies and content, and running measurable campaigns.

What you'll do



Local campaigns:

Plan and execute branch-level activities to promote expertise, stock, and services.

Content & socials:

Produce native posts and short-form videos (Reels/TikTok)

Branch websites (CMS):

Regularly update branch pages with offers, news, events, and key ranges.

Trade days:

Pre-event buzz, supplier liaison, on-day content, post-event follow-up.

In-store promotions:

Manager's specials/POS to clear slow-moving or surplus lines

Supplier tie-ins:

Co-promotions and amplification using existing assets.

Building a list from scratch:

Easy, compliant opt-ins (WhatsApp/email) at the counter and online

Measurement:

Track using QR codes, UTMs, or counter codes.

National support:

Assist with group strategies, projects, campaigns, and events as required.

About you



Marketer with 3-5 years of experience

Hands-on creator: storyboard a Reel/TikTok and transform a branch photo into a post that performs well. Confident in the branch: communicate with managers, customers, and suppliers, and record content professionally. Proficient in basic CMS editing (updating web pages) Organised, proactive, tidy copy and brand-safe judgement.

Essentials



Links or examples of content you have created (preferably including a Reel or TikTok). Experience in field or regional marketing, retail, trade, or events (or similar practical role) CMS experience (e.g., WordPress or similar) for basic page updates. Full UK driving licence and regular regional travel Right to work in the UK

Nice to have



Tools: Canva, Meta Business Suite, Office, basic GA4, simple email/WhatsApp broadcasts. Experience working with trade suppliers and merchants
