Duties



Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster teamwork and efficiency. Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Train new staff on cooking techniques, food preparation, and safety protocols. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock of ingredients. Assist in the development of cost-effective recipes while maintaining quality standards.

Skills



Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervising staff. In-depth knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices. Excellent communication skills, fostering a positive working environment. Commitment to food safety practices and maintaining high hygiene standards. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Passion for cooking with a creative flair for developing new dishes that delight guests.
