We are seeking a Caretaker to join our team in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our premises. The ideal candidate will work in tandem with our current caretaker to cover 7 days a week, and be responsible for ensuring a clean and safe environment for all guests and employees, undertaking regular tasks as well as jobs that arise.

Duties & Responsibilities

Window cleaning, along with washing down of window and door frames, and downpipes. Pressure washing and treating of terraces. Checking and clearing of gutters, flat roofs and drainage outlets. Putting out waste and recycling bins, keeping the refuse areas tidy, and taking other items to the Waste & Recycling Centre. Putting up flags and parasols. Visual checks of plantrooms. General checks and cleaning of items such as extractor fans, shower traps and fly killers. Regular maintenance and lubrication of door and window ironmongery. Maintenance of oak and limestone floors including oiling and polishing. Putting up artwork and Christmas decorations. Assisting the Events Team with setting up for events. Assisting Housekeeping and external contractors to move or protect furniture. Small internal decorating tasks. Generally ensuring that all public and back-of-house areas are kept clean and tidy.

The job will also include:

Reactive maintenance tasks that arise such as changing lightbulbs, adjusting bathroom fittings or drain unblocking. Other duties that may arise.

Shifts are 10am - 6pm, weekend availability is essential, with weekends on a rolling rota.

Pay: 12.21 per hour
