Are you passionate about improving outcomes for Children and Young People?

The Bath & North East Somerset (B&NES) Mental Health Support Team (MHST) are expanding its service after receiving additional funds. We're excited to complement our offer by recruiting a Qualified CBT Therapist. We are looking for someone who is committed to supporting and developing services as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will need excellent communication and organisational skills, and a keenness to be part of a busy and vibrant pathway. This is a great opportunity if you are keen to develop your skills in the B&NES MHST.

The B&NES MHST will expand to cover 77% of schools and colleges across the patch with a team base in Keynsham. As the service expands towards reaching the national goal of coverage for all school aged pupils, the service is also expanding the offer available to children and young people with identified mental health needs.

You will be working across education settings (primary schools, secondary schools and colleges) throughout B&NES, providing assessments and interventions to children and young people with mental health conditions including anxiety and low mood.

The MHST currently provides early, brief evidence-based interventions to promptly address emerging mental health needs of children and young people, and this role will expand the provision to include High Intensity CBT interventions.

To work along side our multi-disciplinary team consisting of Senior clinicians/managers, Psychologists, Education Mental Health Practitioners and supervisors.

To deliver Formulation driven assessments and risk assessments of children and young people. Working collaboratively with CYP families/other agencies you will develop holistic plans of cares which are evidence based.

To hold a clinical caseload of children and young people who require a CBT intervention. You will be joining our multi-disciplinary team and will also be expected to provide consultation/support to other members of the team to discuss possible CYP that may require a HI CBT intervention.

To complete the supervisor course to supervise HI CBT therapists if service demands require it.
