We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with the ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff effectively. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a well-organised kitchen environment.
Duties
Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality.
Implement and uphold food safety regulations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and enhance existing offerings based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Manage inventory levels of food supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
Train new kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
Strong communication skills to facilitate teamwork and collaboration within the kitchen.
A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is highly desirable.
