We are looking for an experienced Commercial Vehicle Auto Electrician to join our Arnold Clark Coachbuilders site in East Kilbride.

Hours

Full time:

Monday - Thursday 8am - 5.30pm and Friday 8am - 4.30pm



About the role



In this role, you will install various vehicle accessories, ranging from towbars, beacons, sensors and reversing aids, as well as complex electrical systems.



You will work on bespoke built commercial vehicles and take on the installation of electrical equipment/accessories from start to finish. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, specifying and installing complex systems, and solving problems in an efficient and effective way.



Day-to-day duties



Work specifications and current legal legislations

Quality control your own work

Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure correct specifications and operations of installed systems

Fill out repair and check sheets and update records and images to internal systems

Refer to manufacturers' technical information

Assist with ordering complex parts and consumables



Essential skills



Problem-solving skills with a good understanding of electrical systems

Meticulous attention to detail

Effective communication skills

Time management

Ability to work as a team or individual

Computer proficiency

Be open to training and assisting apprentices

Previous auto electrics experience is essential



Nice to have but not essential...
