We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in food production and preparation, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role is essential for supporting the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality dishes while maintaining food safety standards. A commitment to teamwork and hospitality is crucial as you will be working closely with chefs and other kitchen personnel.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior kitchen staff. Ensure all food items are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment. Support team management by supervising junior kitchen staff when required. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting shortages. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings. Provide excellent service during meal preparation and assist in serving when necessary.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations. Excellent teamwork abilities, demonstrating leadership qualities when supervising others. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Prior experience in food production or cooking roles is advantageous but not essential. Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
