We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing excellent patient care and have a thorough understanding of anatomy. This role involves working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.

About the Person You'll Be Supporting



She's a bright, funny young woman with a cheeky sense of humour who loves stickers and magazines. Due to her autism, she sometimes displays behaviours that challenge and needs staff who can recognise early signs and respond calmly and confidently. She enjoys routine, encouragement and staff who can make everyday activities engaging and fun.

She communicates non-verbally, so being observant, patient and attuned to body language and other forms of communication is essential. You will help her maintain her health, independence and wellbeing, supporting with mobility, personal care and clinical tasks such as PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, and postural management.

Duties



Deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring comfort and safety at all times. Providing personalised support for a young woman with complex needs, autism, and behaviours that challenge. Assess patients' health conditions by performing physical examinations and obtaining medical histories. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the medical team. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised care plans. Assisting with clinical care needs (PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, and sensory support).

Recent experience with this essential.

Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention strategies. Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines. Uphold cleanliness and safety standards within the healthcare environment.

Skills



Strong knowledge of patient care principles and practices. Proficient understanding of human anatomy and physiology. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Empathy and compassion for patients' needs, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
