This senior position offers the opportunity to take ownership of key client relationships, drive the delivery of complex tax projects, and help to shape the future of the tax practice. The role works closely with partners and other senior leaders to develop and implement strategies that support both client and business growth, while also supporting the general practice team.
This is an autonomous role with responsibility for managing projects, maximising fee income, identifying business opportunities, controlling work in progress, and billing for services provided.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee a diverse portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring the delivery of high?quality advisory services including M&A transactions, tax due diligence, share option schemes, restructures and reorganisations, succession and exit planning (including company buybacks, capital reductions and MBOs).
Undertake technical compliance reviews of corporation tax computations prepared by the team.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities for additional services.
Stay ahead of changes in tax legislation and share insights with clients and the team to ensure compliance and identify planning opportunities.
Contribute to the strategic direction of the corporate tax department, including business development initiatives and process improvements.
Represent the firm at client meetings, industry events, and in business development activities.
While the role is focused on corporate matters, some knowledge or experience in personal tax, VAT, and Stamp Duty / Stamp Duty Land Tax is desirable.

Professional qualification (CTA).
Proficiency in tax software and a solid understanding of broader financial and accounting principles.
