We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dance Instructor to join our vibrant dance studio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching students of all ages. As a Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring students to develop their dance skills and confidence.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver structured dance lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of students.
Teach various dance styles, including but not limited to ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary.
Create a supportive atmosphere that encourages creativity and self-expression among students.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
Organise and prepare students for performances, competitions, or showcases as required.
Maintain an orderly and safe dance studio environment.
Collaborate with other instructors to enhance the overall curriculum and student experience.
Stay updated on current dance trends and teaching methodologies.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Dance Instructor or in a similar role is preferred.
Proficiency in one or more dance styles with the ability to teach them effectively.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching dance.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
A relevant qualification in dance or education is advantageous but not essential.
First Aid certification is desirable.
