Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, ensuring that all deliveries are completed in a timely manner while adhering to safety regulations.

Duties

Operate a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of heavy lifting tasks. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transit. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes. Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards is beneficial. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service excellence.
