We are a busy and dynamic place to work, as well as a leading distributor of quality and artisan Welsh foods and drinks to trade customers throughout Wales.

Role:

This is a full time driver role delivering foods, drinks and wine on behalf of Blas ar Fwyd to trade customers across south Wales starting at our Swansea depot.

Days & Hours:

4 days: Tuesday to Friday 6.30am start each day On average 8.5 hrs a day
This average is based on the shifts of the team from the last year. The average week is 38 hrs. The lowest being 32 week and the most 45 hours a week.

The work will change from week to week depending on the number of orders and seasonality. Your finish time will vary from day to day, typically between 1pm and 6pm.

Pay

Starts at 12.50 and increasing on completion of probation period and then again when further experience is achieved in line with company policy.

Duties and Responsibilities

Working in Blas ar Fwyd's specialist refrigerated vehicles delivering goods to our customers taking full care of the products, doing so in a timely and efficient manner. The goods on every delivery must be checked against the paperwork. Collecting goods from our suppliers and returning them to Blas ar Fwyd taking full care and making at least a case count on collection. Completing accounting, health & safety, and food hygiene paperwork as directed. Work as part of a team to load vehicles and ensure that all required packages are loaded on the correct vehicle, in the correct order, for efficient delivery. Ensuring that all the correct paperwork is present with the delivery. Co-operating with other staff members to fulfil orders and share information with other team members, to work efficiently to fulfil orders on time. Taking responsibility of the vehicles and using common sense to keep the vehicles clean & tidy - eg removing rubbish from the cab at the end of the day - and reporting any faults or damage immediately. Acting as an ambassador for Blas ar Fwyd when with a customer or potential customer, ensuring that we offer proper service & looking for further opportunities. Providing feedback on general information about customers, potential customers & enquiries.
