Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained and improved. You will work closely with dentists and other team members to deliver exceptional patient experiences while adhering to the highest standards of hygiene and safety. A well established private patient list will be transferred to the successful candidate.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental check-ups. Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases by taking medical histories and performing preliminary assessments. Utilise medical imaging techniques to capture accurate images for diagnostic purposes. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatments and observations in compliance with regulations. Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Ensure all equipment is sterilised and maintained according to health and safety guidelines.

Experience

A recognised qualification in Dental Hygiene is essential. Registration with the GDC. Previous experience in a dental practice is preferred but not mandatory for newly qualified candidates. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental hygiene practices is required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
