We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventative dental care, assisting in patient education, and supporting the overall efficiency of our dental team. Responsibilities
Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing of patients' teeth
Conduct oral health assessments and record findings accurately in patient records
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using appropriate imaging techniques
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary advice, and preventive care strategies
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed
Maintain sterilisation protocols and ensure all dental instruments are properly disinfected
Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and administrative tasks related to patient care
Utilise CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for specific dental procedures when required
Support the use of medical imaging tools to enhance diagnostic accuracy
Keep up-to-date with current best practices in dentistry and participate in ongoing professional development
Qualifications
recognised qualification as a Dental Hygienist from an accredited institution
Valid registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) or relevant regulatory body
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral health and dental structures
Experience with CAD systems and medical imaging techniques is desirable
Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively
Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team

Growing premium private practice - 3 days initially with option to extend in future / offer other treatments for therapists
We are also a practice with special interest in management and treatment of gum disease
