About Us:

We are a leading provider of domiciliary eye care across the UK, delivering NHS-funded eye tests and spectacles to patients in their homes and care settings. We're growing fast and are looking for a driven and organised individual to lead our field operations and ensure smooth, compliant service delivery.

Role Overview:

As our Domiciliary Optical Services Manager, you'll take charge of day-to-day operations, managing a team of optometrists, appointment setters, optical assistants and delivery drivers. You'll be the link between patients, care homes, the lab, and our head office - ensuring everything runs like clockwork while upholding NHS standards and putting patients first.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily running of domiciliary services across assigned areas Manage scheduling, staff coordination, and patient appointment logistics Ensure full compliance with NHS GOS and safeguarding protocols Train, support, and review performance of optometrists and field staff Act as the main point of contact for care homes and nursing homes Monitor stock, lab orders, and turnaround times Handle complaints and ensure high levels of patient satisfaction Prepare regular reports for senior management

What We're Looking For:

Experience in optical, domiciliary, or healthcare service management Working knowledge of NHS GOS regulations (preferred not essential) Excellent team leadership, organisation, and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling/CRM tools Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
