Job Description

This is an opportunity to work for a long-established Montessori day nursery, dedicated to offering high quality care and education to children from 12 months up to reception age. We are a small setting and the team would love to welcome someone who is keen to support children in becoming independent learners.

To be considered for this role you must have:

A minimum Level 3 full and relevant Childcare Qualification (MUST be a competency based qualification, not just academic)

An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage

Previous experience of caring for children under 5 in a day nursery

Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection

An Enhanced DBS will be required - ideally you will be registered on the DBS Update Service.

Current Full Paediatric First Aid certificate required.

Would suit someone local to Derby.

This is a full-time (10 months maternity cover, with potential to become permanent) position for 30 hours per week on a fixed schedule, negotiable within the hours of 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

You should be available to join us from the beginning of January. Note some holiday entitlement must be taken when the setting is closed at Christmas, Easter and late August/beginning of September.

Pay: 12.21-12.90 per hour
