4Tech is a regional training provider. We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and dynamic individual for the position of GCSE/ Functional skills English and Maths tutor for one of our centres based in Blackpool.

You will have experience in the delivery and assessment of Functional Skills ranging from Pre-entry Level to Level 2 in Mathematics and English. You will also have experience in the delivery of the GCSE English and Maths curriculum.

: At 4 Tech Moto we specialise in delivering vocational training to young people. We offer courses in motorcycle and motor vehicle engineering as well as construction, ranging from entry level to recognised industry status. Alongside this, we also offer Maths and English Functional Skills and GCSE.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Providing teaching, reviewing each lesson plan to meet the needs of individuals. Preparation of schemes of work, lesson plans, learning materials, resources associated student support schedules. Preparation of reports and statistics as required to contribute to the centre quality assurance process. Tutor students in groups of minimum 1 student to 8 students. Participation in both internal and external verification procedures when required. Developing, organising and delivering new educational and curricular initiatives undertaken by the centre as appropriate. Be Responsible for safeguarding and the welfare of students while in-centre or during online lessons Regularly Review lesson content to ensure curriculum is suitable and appropriate. Foster a person-centred approach. Review work, give feedback and set suitable follow up work for areas of weakness. Set and implement suitable targets to support individual students' progress. Keep professional and accurate lesson notes. Deliver short, specific feedback each lesson.

Requirements:

Essential Criteria:

A relevant degree in English or maths, or a related field is essential. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong knowledge of the English or maths curriculum and effective teaching methodologies. Experience of working in an educational or training environment delivering Maths and English. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students of varying ages, abilities and learning needs. A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a love for learning among students. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating independence in lesson planning and execution. Excellent IT skills. Must be flexible around working hours.
Due to the nature of the role, the successful applicant must be willing to undergo enhanced DBS checks and be eligible to work in the UK.
