Who We're Looking For



An organised, enthusiastic Events Lead to manage the planning, execution, and evaluation of our events programme in the UK region. The ideal candidate will have a passion for events management, exceptional attention to detail, people management experience and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders. You should be comfortable working on both in-person and virtual events tailored to the UK market.


Please note, this role is a fixed term contract position.

The team



The UK Marketing Team is a dynamic group focused on enhancing Schroders' brand presence and driving engagement within the UK financial market. Comprising specialists in various areas, including Institutional, Intermediary, and Investment Trusts, the team works collaboratively with the wider Schroders Marketing Team to develop and execute innovative marketing strategies tailored to the needs of clients and investors. Their efforts aim to effectively communicate Schroders' investment expertise and value propositions, while also fostering strong relationships with stakeholders across the investment landscape. With a deep understanding of market trends and client insights, the UK Marketing Team plays a crucial role in supporting Schroders' objectives in the competitive asset management industry.



What You'll Do



As the Event Lead within the UK Hub, you will oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of our UK Hub events, leading a team of event specialists. You will be work closely with the Multi-Channel Marketers and key stakeholders, ensuring that all elements of planned events are aligned with the overall strategy and objectives of the organisation. You will oversee participant registration processes, provide on-site support during events, and collect feedback for post-event evaluations using our Event Management Software Cvent. Additionally, you will handle administrative tasks such as budgeting and invoicing while collaborating with cross-functional teams in the UK region to ensure alignment and successful event delivery.





Key Responsibilities:


Regional Event Management: Managing all aspects of event logistics in the UK region, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and equipment rentals to ensure successful event delivery. Team Management: Management of a team of event specialists Vendor Management: Communicate and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring all requirements are met, and timelines adhered to. UK Marketing Team Support: Collaborate with the UK Marketing team to create promotional materials and assist in the implementation of marketing strategies for upcoming events, ensuring regulatory compliance. Registration and Attendee Management: Handle participant registration processes, including managing attendee databases, coordinating invitations, and responding to inquiries regarding event details. On-Site Support: Provide on-site support during events in the UK region, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any issues that may arise. Virtual Event Expertise: Manage the planning and execution of virtual and hybrid events, ensuring technical excellence and engaging experiences for remote participants. Post-Event Evaluation and Analytics: Assist in collecting participant feedback and conducting post-event evaluations to assess success, identify areas for improvement, and build data-driven insights to inform future event strategies. Budget Management: Manage the financial tracking, including budgeting, invoicing, and event documentation. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all events comply with local regulations, data protection laws (including GDPR), and Schroders' global compliance standards.

The Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications You Need:



A minimum of 5 years of experience in events management or related roles. Experience in managing a team of event specialists. Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with event management software and virtual event platforms. Bachelor's degree in Events Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

The Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications That Will Help:



Experience with virtual and hybrid event platforms and technology. Understanding of marketing principles and practices, particularly in relation to events in the financial services sector. Knowledge of budget management and financial reporting. Familiarity with compliance requirements for events in the financial services industry. Basic understanding of data protection regulations, particularly GDPR.
