Volunteer Family Hub Officer
to join our team and help shape the exciting developments happening across Blackpool's Family Hubs.
Our
Family Hubs
bring together a range of services for children aged 0-19 (and up to 25 with SEND), including the
Start for Life
offer. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative service that connects families to the support they need -- right in the heart of their communities.
As our
Volunteer Family Hub Officer
, you'll coordinate and develop volunteering opportunities across our three Family Hubs, promoting early help, wellbeing, and community connection. You'll work closely with passionate volunteers, families, and partner organisations to deliver positive outcomes for children, parents, and carers.

You'll support and develop volunteer-led activities that help families thrive.
You'll promote and coordinate a range of volunteering opportunities within the Family Hubs, including parent champions, peer supporters, and community connectors.
No two days will be the same -- from recruiting volunteers to organising events and celebrating success stories.
You'll join a supportive, innovative team passionate about Early Help and community engagement.

Strong organisational and communication skills.
Experience coordinating volunteers or community projects.
A genuine passion for supporting families and improving community wellbeing.
Confidence using digital systems to coordinate volunteer activities.
The ability to build positive relationships with families, partners, and volunteers.
What You'll Do
Recruit, train, and support volunteers delivering family-friendly activities and peer support.
Coordinate volunteer placements across Family Hubs, matching people to roles that suit their skills and interests.
Work with families, volunteers, and professionals to promote volunteering and participation.
Celebrate and share the impact of volunteers in improving outcomes for children and families.
