Female Support Worker - Totton, Hampshire

Integrated Case Management are currently recruiting for a Female Support Worker to work alongside our client in their own home.

Hours/Shifts available:

15 hours a week

Monday - 10am to 2pm Wednesday - 1pm to 4pm Thursday - 10am to 2pm

The successful candidate:

We are able to offer a funded DBS, a competitive salary starting at 15 per hour, depending on experience, fully funded mandatory and specialised training and a pension plan.

The Client:

Our client lives in Hampshire and is looking for a support worker who will be able to aid her independence, by providing support and guidance without removing her independence. Our client requires assistance with cognitive tasks, and support when she attends appointments and her vocational placement.

The Environment:

Our client lives at home with her husband which is a relaxed place to work.

The Role:

Our client is looking for a Support Worker to help support her with her weekly routines and support her to re-engage with activities.

Our client had a brain injury and experiences difficulties with her cognitive function and fatigue. Requiring support, guidance and reassurance to remain independent.

You will follow her care plan and work alongside the occupational therapist and neuro psychologist to ensure that she continues to increase her independence and function.

You will accompany our client to attend medical appointments as required as well as her vocational placement.

Full training in all aspects of our client's care will be given, and you will be fully supported by her Case Manager, and therapy team.

About You:

You will have excellent communication skills and have experience supporting an adult with a brain injury. You will be kind, positive, reliable with good timekeeping, have a sense of humour, be fun, energetic and enthusiastic in the role. You will maintain client confidentiality and build a relationship of trust with our client and her family. You will have a willingness to participate and follow training modules which are provided as part of the role. This role requires you to be a driver with your own car.
