We are seeking a
highly motivated Field Investigator
to join our expanding investigations team. This is a dynamic role for someone with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a natural ability to communicate effectively in sensitive environments.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct field investigations, interviews, and site visits to gather factual evidence.
Obtain witness statements and complete detailed reports in line with legal and evidential standards.
Carry out background checks, open-source intelligence (OSINT) research, and surveillance (where authorised).
Liaise with clients, legal representatives, and enforcement agencies to coordinate investigative activities.
Prepare clear and accurate documentation, including photographic or video evidence where appropriate.
Ensure all activities comply with the
Data Protection Act 2018
,
Human Rights Act 1998
, and
Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA)
where applicable.
Attend court or tribunal hearings to provide factual testimony when required.
Uphold strict confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in all aspects of work.
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience in investigation, enforcement, compliance, or related field (e.g. policing, insurance fraud, or legal services).
Excellent interviewing and report-writing skills.
Strong understanding of evidence gathering, continuity, and disclosure principles.
Confident communication and interpersonal skills.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Desirable
Background in law enforcement, military, or regulatory investigation.
Working knowledge of civil or criminal procedure rules.
Legal Practice Course/ CILEX/ BPTC graduate.
Qualification in investigations, criminology, or law.
Surveillance training or experience in intelligence analysis.
