The Role





The Financial Crime Assurance Manager is a key role that reports directly into the Group MLRO and will be responsible for implementing the second line oversight framework. The role will be responsible for monitoring and testing our financial crime risk controls, working with our auditors to ensure that audit reviews go smoothly and will be responsible for driving closure of open issues.



This is a hands-on role that has both a long-term, strategic focus as well as getting the day to day things done.



What excites you:


Providing oversight and assurance of our financial crime risk controls through sampling, thematic reviews and data analysis, to ensure GC's financial crime policies and procedures are being applied correctly. Manage the annual planning process for our Compliance Monitoring program. Regularly testing and monitoring the adequacy of the firm's systems and controls and providing recommendations that add value to the business. Draft reports that outline findings and corresponding action plans to mitigate issues found during reviews. Identifying areas where systemic failures could occur and undertake thematic reviews where appropriate. Supporting the development, introduction and completion of project and business solutions to help close known financial crime issues. Logging and tracking to completion of Audit, Self-identified and other issues; Providing financial crime management information to senior management with context and insights based on your expertise in financial crime risk. Deliver targeted financial crime training to the Compliance Operations team and Sales team on areas that are identified as requiring improvement;




What excites us:


Have a really good understanding of financial crime risks and controls; Have at least four years experience in an assurance based role (e.g. audit, compliance monitoring) and are comfortable with assessing the design and operating effectiveness of controls; Are comfortable providing assurance over projects; Are really well organised and have an ability to track issues to closure; Build good relationships with senior stakeholders Have really good writing skills and are able to write clear and concise assurance reports which are accessible to non-financial crime experts; Make amazing presentations that report on the effectiveness of our issue management process;

Base salary range:

46,400 - 69,600





Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data. Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the minimum and the mid-point

(46,400 - 58,000)

of the pay range until performance can be assessed in role. Offers will take into account level of experience, interview assessment, budgets and parity between you and fellow employees at GoCardless doing similar work.
