Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Carer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality care to individuals in need, particularly seniors and those with specific health conditions such as Alzheimer's and dementia. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence.

Duties

Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status. Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Support clients in engaging in social activities and maintaining a positive outlook on life. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment. Assist with mobility when necessary, ensuring the safety of both the client and yourself. Maintain accurate records of client care and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals involved in the client's care.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a nursing home, care home, or similar setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in patient care is beneficial. Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and senior care practices is preferred. First aid certification is an asset. Ability to drive is necessary for providing travelling to clients as needed. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A caring attitude towards individuals requiring support, demonstrating empathy and patience at all times.
