Job Overview

We are seeking a Food Host who is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a welcoming dining experience. This role involves greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, coordinating with the service team, and ensuring smooth guest flow throughout the restaurant.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival. Manage reservations and waiting lists efficiently. Escort guests to their tables and present menus. Maintain an organized and updated seating chart. Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or requests courteously. Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the reception and dining area. Assist in setting up tables or helping with light service duties when required. Promote special offers, events, or menu highlights to guests. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant or hotel experience is preferred, showcasing your familiarity with the hospitality industry. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members. A passion for providing excellent guest services, ensuring every visitor feels valued. Experience in serving is advantageous, as it enhances your understanding of the dining experience. Ability to remain calm under pressure during peak service times while maintaining a positive attitude. Attention to detail in managing reservations and guest preferences is essential. Pay: 12.44-13.36 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
