Job Summary
The supervisor is primarily responsible for leading the team, maintaining high standards of production, product presentation, traceability, and labelling, while ensuring full compliance with food safety and audit requirements. You will play a critical part in maintaining day-to-day output, documentation and team performance.
Experience:
Must have recent experience of working within an FMCG production environment at a supervisor level
Experience working in chocolate production (desirable)
Proven experience supervising/ leading and motivating a team and working to targets
Ability to complete and maintain food production paperwork to meet legal and audit requirements.
Ability to follow and enforce cleaning and hygiene schedules.
Adaptable to work across multiple operational areas to meet business needs.
Experience preparing for and supporting internal & external audits and regulations requirements
Qualifications:
Level 2 Food safety & hygiene
HACCP Level 2 (Desirable)
Knowledge of SALSA or BRC accreditations. (Desirable)
Duties / Responsibilities
Packing Operations:
Oversee the daily packing process, ensuring all products are packed correctly and to specification.
Ensure correct labelling, weight, and packaging in line with customer requirements and standards.
Monitor workflow and adjust priorities to meet production deadlines.
Team Leadership:
Lead, organise and motivate the packing team to achieve targets and maintain quality., communicate priorities clearly across the team.
Deliver training and ongoing support to team members on packing procedures and hygiene standards.
Traceability and compliance:
Ensure all packed stock is correctly labelled and fully traceable and maintain accurate batch records.
Support the production manager with Audit preparation, ensuring all documentation is up to date and compliant with SALSA or other relevant standards.
Production Support:
Be confident and competent in operating all production and packing machinery.
Provide cover and support in production as needed, helping to maintain workflow during staff shortages or busy periods.
Carry out machine maintenance and damage checks, escalating issues when needed to prevent breakdowns.
Ensure all machinery is kept clean, safe and ready for use.
Health Safety and Standards:
Uphold high standards of hygiene, health, and safety within the packing and production areas. Identify and report non-conformances and support corrective actions.
Previous experience working in chocolate production (desirable)
Experience preparing for and supporting external audits. (desirable)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 14.50-15.00 per hour
