HOURS: 16 hours per week (approx)

, covering rota Monday-Saturday, 8am - 5.30pm (flexibility required)

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Your role will involve providing excellent customer service to our customers. You will work as part of a team responsible for the Greengrocers/ Till area of the Farm Shop.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serving customers, providing excellent service at all times in the Greengrocer section of the Food Village. Answering customer queries, helping with cooking advice etc.

Packing and labelling food product.

Maintaining cleanliness in the shop and store areas.

Stocking shelves and ensure goods are rotated and handled with care (both dry goods and fresh product)

Processing Orders for Click and Collect/ Home Delivery

Service Till Operation

Checking in deliveries.

Placing orders

Other duties as required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION - Essential:

A sales person, able to banter/chat with customers and use every single opportunity to interact with customers.

Genuine interest in food, willing to learn more about product so you can advise the customer and brimming with ideas

The role involves some heavy lifting e.g bags of potatoes/ onions/ turf etc and involves standing for periods of time

Ability to work different times/days in the week to meet the needs of the business

A self-starter with high energy levels & displays common sense

An ability to provide effective and concrete communication

Good time management and organisational skills.

An effective listener who carry out instructions given by department.

Good understanding of record keeping.

PERSON SPECIFICATION - Desirable:

Customer service experience in a retail food environment is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

GCSE C Grade, or equivalent, in Maths and English.
