Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently. Pick, pack, band and label specific orders including our pallet network orders (there will be manual handling involved in this role, not everything can be moved with a forklift). This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
Operate forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse and loading areas. Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling and storage of materials. Conduct regular inspections of equipment, reporting any issues or required repairs promptly. Perform heavy lifting as needed, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and maintain an organised warehouse environment.
Experience
Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of materials handling processes. Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is essential. Mathematical skills for correct quantities when picking and loading. Ability to perform heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards.
