Popular award winning seaside Fish and Chip takeaway and restaurant seeking a Head Fryer to join our established and functional team.
This is a permanent role where opening and working hours change depending on the season. Over a year, the role is no more than 40 hours per week from Wednesday to Sunday.
The successful candidate will be able to:
Display good people skills with an emphasis on communicating clearly with other staff members.
Prepare potatoes each day ready for service
Prepare fish (cutting, rotating and storing)
Prepare other food items such as fish cakes, tartar sauce, gravy, mushy peas, curry, pies, seafood and chicken
Manage frying oil including rotation, filtration and testing
Complete and organise Safer Food Better Business manual.
Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen and fish range area.
The job can be reasonably physical due to the movement of stock, preparation and cellar work. Therefore a level of physical ability is required.
Provide checks to ensure all food is served at the highest quality possible.
Training on how we work will be provided.
