Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

To provide a professional and efficient response to receiving goods and equipment into and out of the Company including providing dangerous goods notes for transportation.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Meet and greet suppliers and/or customers to goods-in and direct to appropriate contact as required Receive and unpack deliveries into the Company, including the offloading of goods and equipment by fork lift as and when necessary. Identify serial numbers and part numbers of products and cross reference to customer orders where necessary, uploading this information onto our bespoke computer system Keep schedule of customer owned packing crates, by labelling and inputting onto computer system Prepare packages for transport to final destination, including working with hazardous units, and preparation of dangerous goods notes for shipment in accordance with ADR, IMDG and IATA regulations Treat all goods and equipment with due care and attention Gain an up to date understanding and awareness of the Health and Safety implications for handling dangerous goods ie: handling compressed gas cylinders and being prepared for gaining certificate in packing of Dangerous Goods under IATA, IMDG & ADR regulations. Stamp appropriate contract reviews and gain understanding and practice for contract review procedure Transport goods received to relevant bays, always adhering to the Health and Safety procedures Always adhere to Company policies and procedures at all times Maintain exceptional standards of housekeeping ie keeping floors swept clean, shredding cardboard boxes and relevant material Help fellow colleagues in Despatch and Transport as and when appropriate Willingness to learn and develop capability Work to set standards and deadlines Ideally gain or already have forklift truck experience / licence Ideally have experience of working with dangerous goods and or hazardous parts, including the ability to pack and declare these for international shipment Undertake driving duties as and when required to support the company Maintain a smart appearance and uniform, representing the Company's best interests at all times

Has the desire to succeed as an individual and with the surrounding team Positive approach / attitude to customer service (both internal and external customers) Self motivated Flexible and adaptable in approach Good administration with numerical skills, and computer experience preferred Confident and calm under pressure Good planning and organising skills with the ability to prioritise accordingly Able - bodied (able to lift safe loads without assistance) Have a driving licence and be prepared to drive company vehicles including long wheelbase transit / sprinter type vehicles Have or prepared to train for a Forklift Licence Have or prepare to train towards full Dangerous Goods packing certification (ADR, IMDG & IATA)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 27,000.00-29,000.00 per year
