HEAD COACH - GREENFORD TENNIS CLUB Location: Greenford, West London Start date: As soon as possible Contract type: Self-employed Hours: Full-time or flexible part-time (to be agreed) LTA Accreditation: Minimum Level 3 (Level 4 preferred) About Greenford Tennis Club Greenford Tennis Club is a friendly and welcoming community club with 3 floodlit tarmac courts and a small but passionate membership. The club has huge potential for growth and is looking for an energetic, forward-thinking coach to help lead that next chapter. We pride ourselves on being open, inclusive, and community-focused -- offering tennis opportunities for players of all ages and standards. About the Role We're seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Head Coach to take ownership of our coaching programme and drive participation across the club. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated coach who wants to make a real difference, grow a programme from strong foundations, and be the driving force behind all tennis activity at the club. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality coaching for juniors, adults, and teams (groups and private lessons) Be actively involved with our club teams and help strengthen competitive tennis Take part in and encourage regular social tennis sessions, helping to connect players across all levels Plan and promote coaching terms, holiday camps, and community events Grow engagement through local schools and outreach programmes Support internal competitions, fun days, and social events Mentor and organise assistant coaches and helpers where applicable Work closely with the committee to attract and retain members Maintain all LTA Accreditation requirements (DBS, safeguarding, first aid, insurance) What We're Looking For LTA Level 3 (minimum) and current LTA Accredited+ Coach (Level 4 desirable) Enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about both grassroots and performance tennis Excellent communication and organisational skills Creative ideas for growing membership and developing junior pathways Professional attitude and ability to work collaboratively with a small committee Preferably has established links with Middlesex LTA and a strong understanding of the LTA Performance Pathways for juniors and LTA coaching programmes A true club leader who will be visible, approachable, and the central figure around the tennis community at Greenford What We Offer Supportive committee and existing membership base Real scope to expand programmes and build your coaching business Access to three floodlit tarmac courts year-round Competitive earning potential through lessons, groups, and camps Freedom to shape the coaching direction of the club How to Apply Please send: Your CV (including qualifications and current accreditation) A short cover letter outlining your vision for Greenford Tennis Club and how you'd grow its tennis community Two references (one ideally from a current or previous club) Send applications to: admin@greenfordtennisclub.uk Closing date: 30th December 2025
