Are you ready to lead one of the Council's most vital service areas? We're looking for a strategic and forward-thinking leader to head up our Legal, Democratic and Registration Services. This senior role sits within our Governance & Customer department and plays a key part in shaping how the Council operates, engages with its communities, and delivers on its legal and democratic responsibilities. You'll oversee a wide portfolio including legal services, democratic governance, scrutiny, electoral and registration services, corporate information, and communications.
From advising senior officers and elected members to ensuring the smooth running of elections and civic functions, your work will touch every corner of the organisation. We're looking for someone with strong leadership experience, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage complex services with confidence and clarity.
You'll be a qualified legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced, politically aware environment and can inspire teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused outcomes.
