Governors are looking for a headteacher who:

Is visible and will encourage everyone to learn and grow together Has the drive and passion to ensure that all children achieve their full potential, combined with strong leadership, management and interpersonal skills. Has a passion for innovative leadership of teaching and learning. Has the desire to take on the challenges created by the changing face of primary education. Has the ability to maintain and strengthen existing good relationships with staff, governors, children, parents, other schools and the wider community.

Who are we looking for?

Completed application forms should be submitted no later than noon on Friday 7th November using the online application link provided. Applicants are asked to use the personal statement section of the application form to explain how their skills, knowledge and experience meet the requirements laid out in the person specification.


There is also a further question to address:


How would you approach the first 90 days in role? Please break this down month by month.


A shortlist of candidates will be selected by 14th November and invited to attend a selection process.


This will take place over two days on


24th and 25th November with a series of activities including a formal interview.


References will be sought prior to interview.


School visits are encouraged and can be arranged via the school office either by phone (024 7622 3281) or email (lbaldwin@gosfordpark.coventry.sch.uk ). The dates of 4th November (pm) and 5th November (am) have been identified for these.



Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS.
