Duties

As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Supporting patients with mobility and transferring them safely. Monitoring and recording vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing staff. Helping with meal preparation and feeding patients as required. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety protocols. Engaging with patients in meaningful conversation to promote mental well-being. Assisting healthcare professionals during medical procedures and examinations. Documenting patient care activities accurately in accordance with organisational policies.

Experience

The ideal candidate should have:

Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. A caring attitude with the ability to empathise with patients' needs. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members. Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations within a healthcare environment. The ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently when required.
