Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in English, be IT literate, and have the ability to follow care plans effectively. A driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a high standard of care. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions. Help with meal preparation and feeding as required. Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations. Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing. Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients as needed. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
