Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various healthcare settings, including care homes and home care environments. Duties

Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding as necessary, promoting nutritional health. Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the living space, adhering to health and safety standards.

Experience

Previous experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. Strong command of English for effective communication with patients and team members. Basic IT skills for maintaining patient records and using healthcare software systems. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving home care visits. Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow instructions accurately is essential. Experience in a care home environment is beneficial but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is key.
