Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will assist with daily living activities and contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, while fostering a positive environment for our residents.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support patients with mobility and physical activities as needed. Help in the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met. Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress, including updates to care plans. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on patient status. Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and improvements. Ensure a clean and safe environment for all residents by adhering to health and safety regulations. Drive patients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their comfort during transport.

Experience

Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping is advantageous. Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with patients and colleagues. Experience in developing or following care plans is beneficial. A genuine drive to improve the quality of life for individuals in your care is essential.
